Proud Member of the Polk County Tavern League
The Tavern League of Wisconsin is a non-profit trade association which dedicates itself to serving the needs of the retail beverage alcohol segment for the state of Wisconsin. They provide us with services such as legislative and governmental relations, legal information, education and helps to promote the industry on behalf of its membership.
The Tavern League was created in 1935, just two years after the end of Prohibition and today there are over 5,000 members. They lobby for us at state and federal levels and supports their members in complying with legal issues in regards to their business. Some of the things they help with are opposition to increases in alcohol and cigarette taxes, licensing laws and opposition to restrictions on gambling machines. They support programs that combat drunk driving by providing rides to and from bars.
